This time Valentina demonstrates the use of Ableton Link through Ableton Push, which is a feature in the Upolu app that provides an easy-to-use workflow between live audio, and the DAW being recorded. The app is bundled with Ableton Live 10 and allows for simple playback in Push. There are two problems with live performance. First: the users interface does not allow control of the sound outside of the app. The second problem: if there is a microphone that is used to capture the audio, then there are other limitations on it’s use, and the ability to use it to capture from multiple audio inputs. As a result, Ableton Link is a feature included with Ableton Live 10. The app provides an easy-to-use workflow between live audio and the DAW (Ableton Live) being recorded. It does not work between different types of audio, and a wide range of limitations are included. The app is only available for the Apple platform, and further limitations that do not work in the studio. Live performers or those that record with a device other than Ableton Live 10, the link feature is worthless.
