In the beginning of the seventies, most people still took diet totally free weight loss for granted. They assumed it would remain there no matter what they did to their entire body. Cereals went from cornflakes and porridge to containers of sweets. We have a bright, colorful box for each flavor.’ Good for the kids of yours, they’ll really like it’ said the point on the box. Obviously they would. It was a box of sweets.
Manufactured foods flourished. Anything which was made in a factory is an exceptional food product. Of course which helped promote the new’ snack foods’ community which began to mushroom. This was food you were able to take anywhere and have anytime. It was salty, and at times lovely. It was spicy, it had been full of flavor which was extremely morish.
The single word which accompanied all of the manufactured foods was’ healthy’. You understand the old expression,’ in case you’ve to keep saying a phrase it is most likely not true… and of course; it is not accurate.
Do you think for one moment that our metabolic rate has not suffered some damage by needing to adapt from dieting which had changed very little for centuries to one which is just about the exact opposite?
